They are the three hospitals under the jurisdiction of the Scarborough Health Network, including Birchmount Hospital (former Grace Hospital), Scarborough General Hospital and Centenary Hospital.
After decades of being left behind, there is still a lot more catching up to do. This government commitment is only the beginning.
You may not know this, but Ontario hospitals are required to raise 100% of funds for the purchase of new equipment and 10% of all capital projects. Also, Government funds can be used for projects such as infrastructure enhancements. But funds for equipment is the mission of hospital foundations and the community.
To meet the challenges head-on, Scarborough Health Network Foundation need to raise the same percentage of community share funding for capital projects and major equipment purchases.
t is the aims of Scarborough Health Network Foundation to raise the necessary funds from community-at-large to realize priority projects that will improve the patient experience, enhance access to health care, and ensure a healthier future for the Scarborough community. Also, provide funds to equipment purchases support the needs of the following new facilities.
